Experience
Roles, projects, and a few milestones along the way.
As the sole frontend developer, I architected and built WOWGames — a full-scale online casino platform — from the ground up using Next.js and React. I own the entire frontend: app routing, authentication flows, real-time features via WebSockets, game launcher integration, sportsbook and tournament modules, community forums, promotions, VIP account pages, and responsive UI across all breakpoints. I integrated REST APIs with TanStack Query, managed client state with Zustand, implemented form validation with Formik and Zod, and delivered animated interactions with Motion. Working independently, I made architectural decisions, established component patterns, and shipped production-ready features end to end.
I specialized in developing betting websites and platforms such as Mansion88 and S5.com, using Next.js and JavaScript. My responsibilities included building and maintaining essential features, integrating third-party and internal APIs, and optimizing site performance for a smooth and responsive user experience. I closely collaborated with designers to translate UI mockups into dynamic, interactive interfaces, and wrote clean, maintainable code following best practices. I also coordinated with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deploy updates, ensuring the platform met user expectations and business objectives.

Senior Front-End Web Developer
BossDeal Corporation
In this role, I am responsible for developing betting game applications using Next.js and Vue.js. My tasks include designing and implementing key features, ensuring seamless integration of backend APIs, and optimizing performance for a smooth user experience. I work closely with designers to translate mockups into interactive interfaces, follow best practices for maintainable and scalable code, and implement unit tests to ensure code reliability. Additionally, I collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deploy updates, ensuring the applications meet user expectations and project deadlines.
I work on maintaining large-scale projects with multiple variants, ensuring seamless multi-theme functionality within a single application. I quickly translate Figma designs into fully functional websites and apps, document my assigned tasks along with the necessary test attachments, and review and approve tickets submitted by other frontend developers. My routine also involves participating in scrum meetings and planning sessions, collaborating with teams across Southeast Asia to align on project goals and deliverables.
My day-to-day work involves converting all UI content into a CMS to enhance website optimization and creating fluid UI and UX based on designs provided in Figma. I document my assigned tasks along with the corresponding test attachments, review and approve tickets submitted by other frontend developers, and participate in scrum meetings and planning sessions. Collaboration is a key part of my role, as I work closely with teams from various departments to ensure projects are executed effectively.
I worked as a maintainer of the project, reviewing other developers' code, merging it into the main branch, and overseeing deployments to different environments using Jenkins, integrated with Husky, SonarQube, and Fortify for continuous integration and quality checks. In addition, I was assigned to the Production Support Service Team, where I analyzed and resolved issues raised by other agents using tools like New Relic, Devo, and RabbitMQ. I also contributed to coding UI and components, enhancing the user experience while troubleshooting and improving functionality. This role allowed me to bridge the gap between support tasks and frontend development, ensuring both system stability and a seamless user interface.
This is where I started learning how to build websites using React and Angular. My journey began with grasping the fundamentals of JavaScript and diving into the core concepts of both frameworks, such as component-based architecture, state management, and routing. As I gained more experience, I explored more advanced topics like performance optimization, building reusable components, and integrating with APIs. I also focused on improving my debugging and testing skills while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive design. This foundation laid the groundwork for my career, and I continue to refine my skills in modern frontend development.
I was assigned to do QA tasks, which is where my journey began and where I first learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. As I tested various applications and features, I became more involved in understanding how the frontend and backend interact. I started writing simple scripts to automate repetitive tasks, which deepened my understanding of web development. Over time, I took on more responsibility, working alongside developers to identify bugs, verify bug fixes, and ensure that features were implemented according to specifications. This experience sparked my interest in coding, and I began to build a solid foundation in web development.
Activities
Attended NG-MY 2019 (#ngMY2019) — the first-ever Angular conference in Southeast Asia and a labour-of-love community event for the Angular ecosystem in Malaysia. Spent two days at Sunway University learning from industry speakers, exploring technical sessions on Angular best practices, and connecting with developers across the region. The conference deepened my understanding of modern frontend architecture and strengthened my commitment to building with Angular and the wider JavaScript community.
